In preparation for Tahiti 80’s new album, Ballroom, out October 21st via Minty Fresh, the band has released a music video for the single “Missing,” directed by Florent Woods Dubois.
Produced by Richard Swift (Foxygen, Tennis, The Shins), Ballroom showcases the band’s trademark catchy dance vibe, mixed with a darker and sexier sound. Ballroom marks the fourth Tahiti 80 album on Minty Fresh.
Based in Paris, France, Tahiti 80 formed as college students in the mid-nineties, sharing an affinity for indie music, new wave, and sixties pop. Taking their name from a souvenir t-shirt given to frontman Xavier Boyer’s father in 1980, the band consists of Boyer, bassist Pedro Resende, guitarist Mederic Gontier, percussionist Raphaël Léger, and keyboardist Hadrien Grange.
Vinyl will be available in December.
